Carol Waller is a Kansas City based visual artist and the creative eye behind the lens of Kansas City Framed. Working in acrylics, watercolor and photography, she brings a distinctive perspective to the places that define her home, capturing both their recognizable beauty and something just beyond it.

A lifelong resident of Kansas City, Carol’s work is rooted in connection, inviting viewers to experience the city not just as it is, but as it feels. From quiet park pathways to iconic landmarks, she is continually drawn to the character, history, and evolving energy of the place she knows so well.

The changing seasons serve as an ongoing source of inspiration, each one offering its own palette, mood, and sense of movement. Through her work, Carol translates these moments into pieces that feel both grounded and dreamlike, blending detail with atmosphere to create a lasting impression.

Having studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and refined her craft through years of dedicated practice, Carol approaches each piece with intention and curiosity. Her work is created not only to be seen, but to resonate, bringing a sense of beauty, familiarity, and quiet inspiration into the spaces it lives.

While Kansas City will always be home, and the main source of inspiration, the colors and energy of the Caribbean sneak into Carol’s work now and then, adding a splash of sunshine and sea to the mix. At its core, her work is a reflection of the places that stay with us, those that feel dreamlike, familiar, and deeply personal, even as time moves on.
